How Does the HydraFacial™ Work?
Cleanse and Peel
Every session begins with a deep cleanse and resurfacing exfoliation using the HydraFacial™ vortex tip and a 7.5% glycolic acid and 2% salicylic acid peel solution. This blend is strong enough to uncover a fresh layer of skin — removing dead cells, surface buildup, and dullness — yet gentle enough to produce zero irritation or redness. This step primes the skin for extraction and infusion.
Extract
Using painless Vortex-Fusion® suction, we gently clear blackheads, impurities, and debris from the pores without the discomfort of traditional manual extractions. The wet-tip suction protects against irritation throughout, making this step completely comfortable even for sensitive skin. If you’ve selected a Booster, it is infused into the skin at this stage, followed by the LED Light Therapy mask (LED is a separate add-on).
Hydrate
In the final step, we saturate the skin’s surface with intensely moisturizing serums and personalized active ingredients, driven deep into the skin by the Vortex-Fusion® technology. The result is immediate plumpness, radiance, and hydration — visible before you even leave the treatment room. Personalized active ingredients (Boosters) are a separate add-on.
Lymphatic Drainage
Our Signature HydraFacial™ includes Lymphatic Drainage — a specialized technique using high-pressure suction to manually massage and drain the lymph nodes, improving circulation, reducing puffiness, detoxifying the skin, and delivering a noticeably sculpted, firmed result. Most spas charge separately for this. At Lipstick Empire, it’s part of every Signature session.

LED Light Therapy

Glysal Peel
15% glycolic and 1.5% salicylic peel
This is a stronger peel than the standard one already included in the treatment. It would be considered a mild peel that exfoliates and resurfaces the skin for visible signs of aging.

Most clients describe it as an extremely relaxing experience — you’ll feel gentle exfoliation and mild suction during the extraction step, but there is no discomfort, no redness, and no irritation. Many clients fall asleep during the treatment. It is safe and gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types.
When will I see results from the HydraFacial™?
Results from a HydraFacial™ are visible immediately. After your treatment, skin looks noticeably more hydrated, bright, and refreshed. Pore size, texture, and tone continue to improve over the following weeks as the infused serums work deeper into the skin. For clients targeting specific concerns like hyperpigmentation or fine lines, a series of three treatments spaced 4 weeks apart delivers the most significant cumulative results.
How often should I get a HydraFacial™?
We recommend monthly HydraFacial™ treatments to maintain and build on your results — consistent monthly treatments deliver the best long-term improvements to skin texture, hydration, and clarity. That said, there is no minimum requirement, and even a single session delivers visible results. The HydraFacial™ is included in our Platinum Glow Pro Membership, making it easy and cost-effective to maintain a regular facial routine.
Is there any downtime after a HydraFacial™?
There is zero downtime after a HydraFacial™. Your skin may look slightly flushed for an hour or two following treatment, but this resolves quickly. You can apply makeup and return to your normal routine immediately after your session — making it a true “lunchtime” facial.

What is Lymphatic Drainage and why is it included?

Can the HydraFacial™ be combined with other treatments?
Yes, in many cases. The HydraFacial™ pairs well with Dermaplaning (which enhances product penetration), Microneedling, and certain other facial treatments when timed appropriately. Your aesthetician will advise on the best combination and sequencing for your skin goals.
How do I prepare for a HydraFacial™?
The HydraFacial™ requires minimal preparation. We recommend arriving with clean skin — no makeup, SPF, or skincare products on the treatment area. If you are using retinol or strong actives, let your HydraFacial™ Master know at booking. Generally, the HydraFacial™ is gentle enough that no significant pre-treatment prep is required, unlike laser treatments or deeper chemical peels.
